Desmond Yam is a seasoned procurement manager with significant experience in the supply chain sector. Currently serving at Vista Outdoor Inc. since September 2015, Desmond focuses on vendor consolidation and cost-saving initiatives while ensuring timely product launches. Previously, Desmond held a similar role at Grainger from January 2007 to September 2015, where responsibilities included sourcing and developing proprietary products, optimizing pricing and quality, and facilitating communication between the US office and vendors. Early career experience includes a position as senior merchandiser at Li & Fung Limited from January 2005 to January 2007. Desmond holds a Master’s Degree in Global Supply Chain Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems and Management from the University of London, a Professional Diploma in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick, and a degree in Manufacturing Engineering from City University of Hong Kong.
