Marissa Weaver is a skilled public relations professional with a diverse background in customer experience, marketing, and communications. Currently serving at Visit Tampa Bay since January 2021, Marissa previously worked at Nordstrom as a Service Experience Representative, where a customer appreciation card developed by Marissa was adopted by the store. Marissa's earlier roles include Development & Marketing Associate at Feeding Tampa Bay, where responsibilities included donor communications and event planning, and an Americorps Vista position at Trinity Cafe Tampa Bay, focusing on social media and volunteer management. Marissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, with experience as a writer and editor for Journey Magazine and as a production intern at WFLA Channel 8 News.
