Krista Cardona is an experienced communications and higher education professional with a diverse background spanning multiple roles and industries. Currently serving as Adjunct Faculty at Grand Canyon University since June 2023 and as a Senior Communications Specialist at VSP Vision since December 2021, Krista has previously held the position of Director of Grants and Communications at House of Refuge in Mesa, AZ. Krista's tenure at Illinois Wesleyan University includes roles as Assistant Director, where a reunion program and communications strategy were developed, and as Head Coach, recognized as CCIW Coach of the Year in 2008. Prior experience encompasses ownership of a children's boutique, government affairs at State Farm Insurance, and staff duties with the Illinois House of Representatives. Academically, Krista holds a Master of Science in Digital Audience Strategy from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Hispanic Studies from Illinois Wesleyan University.
