Uma Balakrishnan is a seasoned communications and marketing professional with extensive experience in corporate communications, social impact, and diversity and inclusion. Currently serving as the Lead for Corporate Communications in India and South Asia at Visa since November 2018, Uma is responsible for safeguarding Visa's reputation and managing strategic communications among various stakeholders. In addition to this role, Uma oversees Visa's CSR initiatives in India, focusing on women's empowerment and small business enablement. Previous positions include managing marketing and communications for Worldline Global and TimesofMoney, where Uma successfully executed brand campaigns and led corporate rebranding projects. Uma holds an MBA in Marketing and Retail from Praxis Business School and a B.B.A. in Marketing from Amity University.
