Mahashweta Das is a Senior Director of Artificial Intelligence at Visa, currently heading AI Research and previously leading the Transactions Insights team. With a strong background in academic affairs, Mahashweta has significantly expanded academic collaborations by 300% and has defined research strategies across various domains including AI, cryptography, and blockchain. Additionally, Mahashweta has experience as a Lecturer at Northeastern University and has held research roles at Hewlett Packard Labs, The University of Texas at Arlington, Yahoo! Research, Technicolor, IBM Research, and other prestigious institutions. Mahashweta holds a PhD and an MS in Computer Science and Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington and The Ohio State University, respectively, along with a BE in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University.
