Harmeet Bala is an experienced technology leader with over 25 years in the industry, currently serving as the SVP and Head of Technology for Commercial and Money Movement Solutions at Visa since March 2008. In this role, Harmeet leads a global team of approximately 1,500 members and is responsible for technology product development. Previously, Harmeet held positions at Visa as SVP and India Technology Center Head, overseeing a 2,000-person technology team focused on Money Movement and Real Time Payments, as well as VP leading a 350-member engineering team for global payment solutions. Earlier experience includes roles such as Director at Ebusiness Design, where Harmeet managed technology consulting projects, and Manager at Genpact Headstrong Capital Markets, where responsibilities involved defining service offerings and technology solutions. Harmeet began a career as a Software Engineer at Tech Instruments. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's in Engineering from Punjab Engineering College and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
