Paul Pietranico has a diverse work experience in the investment industry. Paul currently holds the position of Chief Investment Officer at Virtus Investment Partners, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Allianz Global Investors for over 17 years, where they held various roles including Head of Active Allocation Strategies and Director of Portfolio Analytics. At Allianz, they were responsible for managing and co-managing several funds and portfolios, participating in global teams for fixed income tactical allocation, and contributing to the asset class valuation signal team. Before joining Allianz, Paul worked at Charles Schwab as a Director of Quantitative Research and a Senior Research Analyst. Paul'sexperience spans portfolio management, asset allocation, investment strategy development, and research.
Paul Pietranico's education history begins in 1984 when they attended Maine Central Institute. Paul did not obtain a degree or study a specific field during this period. From 1988 to 1992, Paul studied Physics at Stanford University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy from 1993 to 1995, also at Stanford University. Finally, from 1999 to 2002, Paul completed their Master of Science degree in Engineering Economic Systems & Operations Research, again at Stanford University.
