Umut Barış Karasar has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software engineering. Umut Barış began their career as an intern at Kod-A Bilişim in 2015, where they developed a stock tracking desktop application using C# and MsSql server. In 2016, they had another internship at Probel Bilgisayar Yazılım Donanım San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., primarily working on Oracle database and also gaining experience in Java projects.

In 2017, Umut joined egegen Internet Solutions as a Web Developer, specializing in UI development and enhancing their skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Later that year, they joined Sony as a Software Engineer, focusing on API development and integrations for Sony marketing web applications. Umut Barış also gained experience in writing scripts and unit tests.

Moving forward, Umut became a Senior Software Engineer at Sony in 2019, utilizing their skills in API development and leading projects. In 2020, they joined Vodafone as a Software Engineer, where they worked on developing new features, optimizing codes, and improving code quality for location-based web applications. Umut Barış gained experience in OOP, SOLID principles, and Oracle relational databases.

In 2021, Umut transitioned to Kolay, serving as a Software Engineer and contributing to API development and integrations for an HR Saas Application. Umut Barış also focused on writing unit tests and performing code reviews.

Currently, Umut works at Virtuagym as a Software Engineer, starting in 2022.

Umut Barış Karasar completed their high school education at İzmir Anadolu Lisesi from 2008 to 2012. Umut Barış then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering at Yaşar University from 2012 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Umut has obtained various certifications, including "Learning Java" from LinkedIn in November 2019, "Docker Essential Training: 1 Installation and Configuration" from LinkedIn in December 2018, and "Programming Foundations: Object-Oriented Design" from LinkedIn in December 2018. Umut Barış also gained certifications in PHP-related subjects, such as "Learning PHP," "PHP: Object-Oriented Programming," and "Designing RESTful APIs" in 2018.
