Tom Griffin is an experienced engineering and technology leader currently serving as the Chief Engineering Officer at Viridos since April 2024. Prior to this, Tom held the position of Chief Innovation Officer at Infinium, focusing on decarbonizing the transportation sector with ultra low carbon Electrofuelsâ„¢. Tom's career includes significant roles such as Managing Director at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, where Tom led the Manufacturing Sector activities and served on the boards of various portfolio companies, and Vice President of Bioprocess Engineering at Reliance Industries Limited, emphasizing renewable technology development. Earlier, Tom co-founded Pennsylvania Sustainable Technologies and served as Chief Technology Officer at Edeniq, Inc., leading advancements in biofuels. Tom's extensive background also includes tenures at DuPont and Molten Metal Technology, along with early career experience at Shell and military service in the US Navy. Tom holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Tom also obtained BS and MS degrees in the same field.
