Taylor Brooks, MSc, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They began their career as a Teaching Assistant at Mount Allison University in 2012, where they taught lab techniques and evaluated assignments for undergraduate courses. In 2014, they worked as a Show Host in the same university.

In 2015, Taylor joined McMaster University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, leading laboratory experiments and developing a new course component in Integrative Ecology.

They then transitioned to the animal health industry, starting at Integricare Animal Health in 2010. There, they worked as a Sales Representative and later as a Business Developer until 2019.

In 2019, Taylor joined Because Animals as a Tissue Scientist, contributing to the early-stage development and testing of tissue lines for commercial pet food. They played a crucial role in securing funding from venture capital backers.

In 2020, they worked at BioVectra Inc. as a Commercial Operations Coordinator, aligning sales objectives with business strategy and assembling client proposals for pharmaceutical ingredients.

Currently, Taylor is employed at Virica Biotech, where they initially served as a Business Development Associate. They later advanced to the role of Account Executive and currently hold the position of Senior Account Executive. Their responsibilities include technical business development, supporting global sales, and managing relationships in the biotech and pharma industries. They also contribute to sales strategy development and implementation.

Taylor Brooks holds a Master's of Science (MSc) degree in Cellular Physiology from McMaster University, which was attained from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, Taylor received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology and Chemistry from Mount Allison University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, Taylor has obtained several certifications, including Project Management from the University of Prince Edward Island in May 2021, eLearning: Foundations of GMP: Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API), Qualification, Validation from US Pharmacopeia in February 2021, and GWWC Pledge Member from Giving What We Can in December 2020. They are also a member of Ten Thousand Coffees since February 2020 and have completed the Trade Accelerator Program from the Toronto Region Board of Trade in March 2018. In November 2017, Taylor completed a course on Strategic Trends in Data Analytics from DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, and in April 2016, they obtained Teaching Essentials certification from The MacPherson Institute.
