Stacy Jones is an experienced professional in recreation therapy and community integration, currently serving as the Director of Recreation Therapy and Community Integration at The Virginia Home since September 2006. Previously, Stacy held the position of Senior Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation and served as an Adjunct Recreation Therapy Instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University, where education on recreation therapy principles was delivered to undergraduate students. With a comprehensive background that includes roles such as Recreation Therapist Consultant at Viable Adult Daycare Center, Inc. and RCI Therapeutic Foster Care, as well as PRN Recreation Therapist at Children's Hospital, Stacy has consistently focused on assessing leisure needs and developing programming for diverse populations, especially children with emotional disorders and individuals in rehabilitation settings. Educational qualifications include an MS in Recreation, Parks, & Tourism from Virginia Commonwealth University and participation in the Emerging Nonprofit Leaders Program, highlighting leadership development in the nonprofit sector.
