Rachit Kumar is a highly experienced medical oncologist currently serving at the Virginia Cancer Institute since April 2023. Prior to this role, Rachit held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth from February 2022 to April 2023. Rachit also served as the Director of Clinical Research and an Oncologist at MaineGeneral Health from July 2017 to April 2023. Rachit's early career included significant positions at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where Rachit completed a Hematology Oncology Fellowship and held roles as Chief Resident and Internal Medicine Resident from June 2010 to June 2017. Rachit began medical training as a Junior Resident in Dermatology at Maulana Azad Medical College in 2010. Rachit earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Maulana Azad Medical College, completing the degree in 2009, following education at Delhi Public School - R. K. Puram from 1989 to 2003.
