Sarah Mathias is an experienced marketing professional with a robust background in brand strategy and development. Currently serving as the People and Brand Experience Lead at Virgin since April 2022, Sarah has previously held significant roles at Barclays from 2000 to 2020, including Group Brand Strategy Director for both Barclays and Barclaycard and Head of Brand for Global Retail Banking. Prior to that, Sarah was Head of Absa Africa Marketing and Senior Brand Implementation Manager at Absa Bank from 2005 to 2008. Sarah's career began at Barclays, where responsibilities included Senior Advertising Manager and Campaign Manager. Sarah holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Leeds.
