Matthew Ongarello is an accomplished professional in corporate communications and public relations with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of News at Virgin since September 2024, Matthew previously held multiple leadership roles at Virgin Australia from January 2020 to September 2024, including Head of Public Relations, Social Media, Content & Events. Matthew has a strong background in developing strategic communication initiatives, managing media relations, and enhancing brand reputation. Prior experience includes managing public relations for Tourism NT, serving as PR Account Director at Kate & Co, and holding key roles with the Victoria Racing Club. Educational credentials include studies at RMIT University and Whitefriars College.
