James Flynn is a seasoned professional in avionics engineering, currently serving as Sr. Director of Avionics Engineering at Virgin Galactic since January 2018, having previously held the role of Director in the same department. Prior experience includes managing avionics engineering at The Spaceship Company from January 2012 to January 2018, along with significant contributions as a Flight Simulation Engineer at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center from January 2008 to January 2012. James began their career at Winsor Corporation as a Research Engineer, focusing on advanced lighting technologies. James Flynn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University, completed in 2007.
