David Appleby is an experienced Pilot Plant Engineer at Virent, Inc. since April 2011, specializing in the design, operation, and maintenance of chemical reactor plants for biomass conversion. Responsibilities include writing experimental run plans, collecting data for research, and commissioning new pilot plants while utilizing programming skills in multiple languages. Prior to this role, David served as a Senior Pilot Plant Operator and Pilot Plant Operator at the University of Minnesota's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
