Eddy Cai is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in data architecture and engineering. Currently serving as a Sr. Architect at VIP.com since March 2017, Eddy leads the development of a comprehensive data platform and oversees data governance initiatives, utilizing major big data components such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive. Prior to this role, Eddy worked at eBay for over 12 years, where responsibilities included managing a platform engineering team and implementing Agile and DevOps methodologies. Eddy contributed to significant projects like the Lambda ETL system and Apache Eagle, and earlier experience includes consulting on Oracle ERP implementations at Hand. Eddy holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
