Matty Abel is an experienced professional with a strong background in leadership and community engagement across multiple organizations. As President of Vipers Run Club since 2018, Matty has successfully fostered member well-being through social and health activities. Matty co-founded Capra, focusing on customer acquisition and user success for a trail event and guidebook app. Leading the Matty Abel Running Academy since 2012, Matty has created personalized coaching programs for a global community of running enthusiasts. Previous roles include serving as an Ambassador for lululemon Australia & New Zealand and Wings for Life USA, and as Head Coach for Nike’s NRC+ program, where responsibilities included organizing large group running sessions. Matty’s early career included management and personal training at Vision Personal Training. Matty’s educational background includes attendance at Balgowlah Boys High and Beacon Hill.
