Niels Frandsen has extensive work experience in various managerial roles. Niels started their career in 1992 as a Manager at Novo Nordisk A/S, where they worked until 1996. After that, they served as the Marketing Manager at Radiometer Medical A/S from 1996 to 2000. Niels then joined Radiometer GmbH as a Business and Marketing Manager from 2000 to 2003. Following this, they were the CEO and Co-founding Partner at ValMed A.m.b.a. from 2004 to 2005. Niels Frandsen owned and served as the Managing Director of Vingmed Danmark A/S from 2005 to 2018. Niels also held the position of Managing Director at Vingmed A/S and Vingmed ViCare A/S in 2018.

Niels Frandsen completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Aarhus University in 1986. Niels then pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration and Economics from the same university, which they completed in 1992. In 1999, they attended SIMI to study Managing Medical Product Innovation, and later attended the London Business School in 2001 for an Accelerated Development Program (ADP).
