Vesa Pekkarinen has over 17 years of work experience in software development and architecture. Vesa currently works as a Software Developer/Architect at Vincit since August 2021. Prior to that, they were employed at Landis+Gyr for 14 years. At Landis+Gyr, they held various positions including Software Architect from February 2017 to August 2021, Senior Software Designer from January 2011 to February 2017, and Software Designer from June 2007 to January 2011. Before joining Landis+Gyr, they worked as a Software Developer at StarSoft Oy from May 2004 to June 2007.

Vesa Pekkarinen pursued their education at the University of Jyväskylä from 2002 to 2008. During this time, they earned a Master of Economic Sciences degree with a focus on Information Systems Science. In addition to their formal education, Vesa also obtained a certification in Architecting with Google Compute Engine Specialization from Coursera in June 2021.
