Mika Rastas has a diverse work experience that includes roles in software development, solution specialist, construction work, and technical support. Mika started their career as a Technical Support Person at Turun Kaapelitelevisio Oy in 2004, where they gained experience in helping customers with internet connections and setting up Linux servers. Mika then worked as a Software Developer at Unikone avoin yhtio from 2005 to 2008. In 2010, they worked as a Temp at Legioona Oy, where they had the opportunity to work in various positions and companies. From 2011 to 2017, they worked as a Solution Specialist at NORTAL, focusing on Java EE Development on information system projects and mobile development. In 2017, they worked as a Software Developer at Mediconsult Oy before joining Vincit as a Software Developer in the same year.

Mika Rastas completed their education in a chronological order. Mika obtained a High School diploma in Mathematics from Liedon Lukio, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Mika then pursued further studies at the University of Turku, where they completed a Master's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, and Information Security from 2003 to 2010. Additionally, in 2011, they obtained two certifications: Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer (SCJP) from Oracle Ltd., and Certified Vaadin Developer from Vaadin Ltd.
