Jon Ruddell is a highly skilled Principal Engineer at Vimeo since March 2021, contributing to the Office of the CTO (OCTO) team to drive innovation and manage technical debt within the organization. Active in the open-source community since 2016, Jon Ruddell serves on the JHipster Board of Developers and has developed a React Native client generator for the platform. As a cofounder of SportsBooth, Ruddell played a key role in creating a second-screen social platform for sports commentary utilizing WebRTC technology. Previous experience includes positions as a Software Engineer at Cybr-Care and Tata Consultancy Services, as well as serving as a Supplemental Instructor at the Indiana University School of Informatics and Computing. Jon Ruddell holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Indiana University Bloomington, earned in 2015.
