Cecile Plagellat

Conseillère Communale at Ville d'Yverdon-les-Bains

Cecile Plagellat is a highly experienced professional in environmental chemistry, currently serving as Cheffe de section "Chimie des eaux" at the Direction Générale de l'environnement du canton de Vaud since June 2010. Plagellat is responsible for the chemical monitoring of environmental waters in the canton and overseeing water analysis laboratories, along with planning and implementing analytical capabilities to meet legal water surveillance requirements. Additionally, Plagellat works as a Laboratory's scientific expert, focusing on quantifying micro pollutants in various water sources. Since June 2021, Plagellat has also been a Conseillère communale for the Ville d'Yverdon-les-Bains. Previously, Plagellat was a Supervisor Chemical Analysis Laboratory at Philip Morris International from September 2005 to February 2010, leading a team in quantitative smoke analysis and ensuring ISO 17025 certification. Plagellat holds a PhD in Environmental Chemistry from EPFL and a Master's degree in Chemistry from the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier.
