Melissa Sly Brito is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Manager for the Village of Hoffman Estates since November 2022. Prior to this role, Melissa held the position of Community Relations Coordinator for the Village of Roselle from March 2008 to November 2022, where responsibility included public information and community outreach to foster a positive public perception. Earlier roles included Public Information Coordinator and Network Assistant & Webmaster at Mount Prospect School District 57 from January 1999 to May 2007, and Technology Assistant at Glenbrook North High School from September 1995 to January 1999. Melissa began their career as a Network Assistant at Screaming Color / Virtualcolor from June 1994 to September 1995. Educationally, Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, earned between 1990 and 1994.
