Carter Sward is a seasoned law enforcement professional currently serving as a Police Officer and Police Detective for the Village of Hinsdale since January 2015. With a focus on criminal investigations that encompass crimes against persons, property, and financial and internet-based offenses, Carter has specialized in computer-based crimes, digital and cell phone forensics, and cell record mapping during a five-year rotation in investigations. Prior experience includes serving as a Meter Enforcement Officer and an intern with the University Program Board at Illinois State University, where Carter managed social media outlets. Carter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Sciences from Illinois State University, obtained in 2015, and graduated from Hinsdale South High School in 2011.
