Marly Carlisle has an extensive work experience, beginning in 2014 when they were a Research Assistant at Stanford University, assisting in writing a book about social entrepreneurship. Marly then became a Policy Research Intern at Reading Partners, where they were awarded a Haas Service Learning Fellowship to research a California bill. In 2015, they were an Intern at the Digital Civil Society Lab at the Center for Philanthropy and Civil Society, a Consultant at The Clothing Bank, and a Research Assistant at Stanford University. Marly was also a Board Member at Heart and Home Collaborative and Step Up on Second. In 2017, they joined the Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen Foundation as a Program Associate and Program Analyst. Most recently, in 2020, they became the Head of Product, Director of Product Strategy and Operations, and Director of Customer Success at Villa.
Marly Carlisle attended Redwood Highschool from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained their GED. Marly then attended Stanford University from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. In February 2014, they obtained a certification in Adult, Child, Infant CPR/AED.
