Rajiv Garg has a long and varied career in the shipping industry. Rajiv began their career in 1977 as a Navigation Officer for The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd., where they were responsible for ensuring SOLAS and IMO rules for safety of passengers, crew and cargo interests were protected. In 1981, they joined General Steamship as a Line Manager PAD Line, EAC, JSS, BBS, Blue Star, ANZDL. In 1990, they moved to Vilden Associates, Inc. as Vice President Sales Marketing and Chief Operating Officer. In 2017, they joined UN/CEFACT as an Expert, participating in UN/CEFACT Forums since Rome 2017 and working in the PDA on Trade, Transport Facilitation and Harmonization PDA. In 2018, they became Domain Coordinator, International Supply Chain/Orchestration - Focal Point at the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT), coordinating and supporting all activities in the International supply Chain/Orchestration - Focal Point Domain.

Rajiv Garg completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Math from California State University, Fullerton in 1990.
