Chapa Yasawardane's work experience begins in 2009 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Carleton University. In 2010, they volunteered as a National Office Projects Assistant for the Canadian Mental Health Association. From 2011 to 2012, Chapa worked as an Environmental Laboratory Administrative Assistant at Exova. In 2012, they joined yconic. and was promoted multiple times, eventually becoming an Account Manager. In 2018, Chapa joined Vigorate Digital Solutions as a Senior Account Manager, their most recent position.

Chapa Yasawardane attended Carleton University from 2005 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Science with a concentration in Health Science. In March 2018, Chapa Yasawardane also obtained the Adobe Ad Academy SPECIALIST Certification from Adobe.
