Christian Engeln is a seasoned professional in the insurance and underwriting field, currently serving as a Senior Treaty Underwriter for DACH clients at VIG RE zajišťovna, a.s. since June 2018. Engeln's extensive experience includes a role as Partner at Digital Insurance Partners and a position as Market Head for Russia & CIS at Swiss Re, where responsibilities included overseeing operations and client management. Prior to that, Engeln held senior management and underwriting roles at PartnerRe and Munich Re, developing expertise in various markets including P&C and casualty lines, with significant leadership experience across the CIS and Turkey. Engeln began a career in insurance as an analyst at Arthur Andersen and holds a Master of Arts in Economics, Politics, and Philology from the University of Hamburg.
