David Poulin, PE has over 13 years of experience in engineering and quality assurance roles. David began their career in 2007 as a Principal Nuclear Engineer at PSEG POWER - Salem Nuclear Generating Station, where they managed an engineering program to protect critical safety-related Inconel 600 components in the reactor coolant system. David also performed on-line fatigue monitoring of critical safety-related components in the reactor coolant system and had overall responsibility for materials degradation issues at Salem. In 2010, David became a Materials Engineer (Contractor) at Boeing, where they performed destructive testing of rotor and drive system components for Chinook CH-47 helicopters, materials testing and evaluations of first article and production transmission components, and developed a field test procedure for non-destructive verification of Alodine coatings on aluminum aerospace components. In 2012, they joined Metlab Heat Treatment as a Quality Engineer and Laboratory Manager, where they managed the Metallurgical Laboratory, supervised and trained laboratory personnel, performed metallurgical testing to evaluate the effectiveness of heat treat processes, and prepared shop work orders and heat treat certifications. In 2017, David moved to Specialty Resources, Inc. as a Metallurgical Engineer. Two years later, they joined Kim Manufacturing Co Inc. as a Quality Engineer. Most recently, in 2020, they became a Quality Engineering Manager and Quality Assurance Specialist at VideoRay: underwater robots.

David Poulin, PE has a comprehensive educational background. David obtained their High School Diploma from Ponderosa High in Shingle Springs, CA in 1977. David then attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they earned a BS in Metallurgical Engineering in 1982. From 1990 to 1996, they completed Mechanical Engineering Coursework at the University of Colorado Denver. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Greenbelt from the American Society for Quality in 2016, a Qualified Furnace Operator Certification from the Metal Treating Institute in 2013, an Engineer-In-Training Certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs in 2001, and a Licensed Professional Engineer Certification from the same institution in 2009.
