Luis Salazar has a vast and diverse work experience, starting from their current position as the Founder and CEO of AI4SP.org in 2023. Prior to this, they served as an Entrepreneur, CEO, and Board Member at Connect Sparks, where they provided advisory services on various aspects of technology companies and collaborated with Fortune 500 companies and large Foundations. In 2017, they co-founded Giving Tech Labs, which created five technology social ventures aimed at making a positive impact. Luis also co-founded X4Impact in 2019, where they led the Insights as a Service platform for social innovation. Another notable co-founding role was at VidaNyx in 2018, where they utilized technology to assist agencies working with children survivors of abuse.
Furthermore, Luis co-founded Giving Compass in 2017, which focused on promoting impact-driven philanthropy. Prior to this, they co-founded Jobalign in 2011, aiming to assist low-wage workers. Luis'searlier experiences include serving as the Global VP of Product at Yahoo from 2010 to 2011, and as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at GMI (Global Market Insite, Inc.) from 2008 to 2010. Luis Salazar's career began at Microsoft in 1997, where they held various roles such as GM and Co-founder Office Live (now Office 365), GM MSN Product Marketing, GM Global Mid Market, and Director of Marketing and Enterprise Market. Throughout their extensive work experience, Luis Salazar has consistently demonstrated their expertise and passion for technology, social impact, and entrepreneurship.
Luis Salazar received their Engineer degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Simón BolÃvar, where they studied from 1983 to 1988. Later, in 1994 to 1995, they attended IESA, completing the Management & Business Program.
