Lawrence Barrett is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience at Vida Health since October 2016, progressing from Data Scientist/Software Engineer to Staff Data Scientist. Key achievements include defining processes for machine learning model training using BigQueryML and VertexAI, leading engineering projects to optimize clinical protocol documentation, and significantly reducing BigQuery costs through query optimization. Lawrence has also contributed to academia as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo, and participated in research projects in Graph Theory at Linfield College. Lawrence's educational background includes dual Master’s Degrees in Data Analytics and Computational Mathematics, as well as Bachelor’s Degrees in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Rochester.
