James Sherrington started their work experience as a Research and Development Chemist at F2 CHEMICALS LIMITED in September 2003, where they worked until March 2006. James then joined Victrex in March 2006 as a Development Chemist, and later served as a Senior Development Chemist from January 2009 to March 2011. James transitioned into the role of a Product Scientist from April 2011 to May 2013. In June 2013, James became the Technology Manager - Monomer and Polymer at Victrex, where they led the process chemistry team across three UK sites and managed the technical aspects of raw materials and polymer products. James held this position until August 2016. From September 2016 to September 2018, they served as the Process Technology Manager at Victrex. Currently, James is the Head of Research and Development at Victrex, since October 2018, where they focus on developing high-performance polymeric materials for the Energy market.
James Sherrington began their education in 1995 at The University of Manchester, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. James completed this degree in 1998. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Leicester in 1999 and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry in 2002.
