Charles Mathes has extensive work experience in the field of compliance. Charles currently serves as the Chief Compliance Officer at Victory Capital since June 2022. Prior to that, they held the same position at REIT Funding, LLC from April 2018 to June 2022. Before transitioning to the private sector, Charles worked at PFS Investments as the Vice President - Compliance from September 2011 to April 2018. Charles also gained experience as an Enforcement Attorney - Intern at the US Securities and Exchange Commission from May 2010 to December 2010.

Charles Mathes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Auburn University in 2006. Charles then went on to attend the University of Georgia School of Law, where they obtained their Juris Doctor degree in 2011. After completing their education, Charles obtained several certifications, including the Series 7 - General Securities Representative, Series 24 - General Securities Principal, and Series 66 - Uniform Investment Adviser & Securities Agent certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Charles also became a member of the Georgia Bar as an attorney. Additionally, Charles received the Associate, Life Management Institute certification from LOMA.
