Katlin L.

Katlin L. has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Katlin began their career at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler as an Undergraduate Researcher, where they worked under Dr. James Ji to research the causes of lung diseases and performed surgical procedures on animals to gather and study lung cells. Katlin then moved on to Virginia Tech as a Bioengineering/Bioinformatics Summer Institute Intern, where they researched biomechanical aspects of balance in humans and improved experimental equipment.

Katlin later joined Saint Louis University as a Student Researcher, conducting research on sleep and evaluating sleep cycles in rats using MATLAB. Katlin was also heavily involved in the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) leadership roles, serving as President, Vice President, and Secretary/Webmaster at different times.

After that, Katlin pursued their graduate studies at The Catholic University of America, working as a Graduate Researcher. Under Dr. Sang Wook Lee, they conducted biomechanical research on the upper extremity of stroke survivors and designed the BiomHED, a device to assist in the rehabilitation of hand functionality for stroke survivors.

Most recently, Katlin worked at Vicon, starting as an Installation/Application Engineer before taking on the role of Senior Application Engineer. Katlin is currently working as a Software Development Project Manager. The specific details of their responsibilities and achievements in these roles are not provided.

Katlin L. completed their education in the field of Biomedical Engineering. Katlin obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Saint Louis University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Later, they pursued a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering from The Catholic University of America, where they attended from 2011 to 2013. In addition to their academic achievements, Katlin L. obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2022, and a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance in April 2023.
