Justin Burgess has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Justin is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Vicinity, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to that, Justin served as the President of AlasConnect from November 2019 to April 2023.

Justin's previous roles include being the VP of Business Development at Matanuska Telephone Association from May 2018 to November 2019, where they played a critical role in developing and executing the AlCan ONE terrestrial fiber network project. Before that, they served as the Vice President of New Markets and Director of Strategic Initiatives at GCI General Communication, Inc. from April 2014 to February 2018. In these roles, Justin led the nationwide expansion strategy for the telecommunications and technology company, developing successful partnerships and introducing emerging technologies to drive product development and marketing efforts.

From 2009 to 2014, Justin was the President of The Two10 Group, Inc., providing specialized business and technical consulting services. Justin also worked as the Business Development - Enterprise at Alaska Communications from March 2013 to April 2014, where they designed methodologies for driving long-term value and identified strategic partnerships.

Justin's earlier experience includes being a Founding Member of OnsiteNM, LLC from August 2010 to March 2013, and the President of Vista Azul Enterprises, Inc. from January 2008 to March 2013. In both roles, they focused on real estate investment strategies and sales and marketing efforts.

Prior to that, Justin served as the General Manager of Alutiiq 3SG, LLC from July 2007 to October 2009, leading the efficient operation of the company and managing business development and client relationships. Justin also founded and served as the CEO of 3SG, Inc. from March 2001 to July 2007, where they focused on providing managed network security solutions.

Throughout their career, Justin Burgess has been involved in various leadership roles, driving strategic initiatives, developing partnerships, and introducing emerging technologies.

Justin Burgess obtained a Bachelor's degree in Independent Studies from New Mexico State University. In addition, they attained a certification in Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age from HarvardX, an online learning initiative by Harvard University through edX in February 2020.
