Tim Hardy has worked in a number of finance roles since 2005. Tim began their career at Phones 4u as a Commercial Manager and Senior Finance Manager, where they were responsible for the successful web strategy and statutory account preparation. In 2010, they joined Network Rail as a Senior Financial Controller (Business & Programmes) - Digital Railway, where they led a tactical efficiency review of a £350m, 7 year Digital change programme. Tim then became Financial Controller - Infrastructure Projects (UK Enhancements), leading a 10 strong UK wide finance team and an operational efficiency review. Finally, they were Business Controller, developing a £1.2bn business case for the electrification of the UK rail network. In 2016, they joined ViCentra as Finance Director, leading on financing, financial reporting, FP&A, external audits, finance function build-out, ERP implementation, and legal, facilities and ICT management.

Tim Hardy attended Lymm High School from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained A-Levels in Chemistry (B), Business Studies (B), and Mathematics Statistics (C). Tim then attended Sheffield Hallam University from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations. In June 2004, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) - First Class from Sheffield Hallam University. In 2009, they obtained the CIMA - ACMA from CIMA.
