Siva Sivakumar has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Siva started their career as an Analyst/Programmer at Data Processing Ltd in 1986 and later moved on to CLEAR Communications Ltd, where they held the same role from 1990 to 1993. In 1994, Siva joined North Shore City Council as an IT Coach, a position they held until 1998. Siva then transitioned to Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, where they took on the role of Senior Manager in Technology Solutions from 1995 to 2001. Following this, they worked at Volante Solutions as the State Manager for Queensland's Business Solutions division from 2001 to 2003. Siva then became the CEO of Smart Reports Solutions Pty Ltd in 2003. Since 2013, they have been the CEO of Viberent.

Siva Sivakumar obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Massey University between 1992 and 1994. The field of study for this degree is not specified.
