Lori Bors is an experienced professional with a diverse background in translation, human resources, and education. As the Owner and Translator at Speak Easy Translations since September 1994, Lori specializes in English/German translations, interpreting, and copy-editing while managing all aspects of running a small business. In addition to this role, Lori serves as Manager of People Operations at viastore SYSTEMS North America since March 2022 and held the position of HR Manager at MAHLE Industrial Thermal Systems America, LP from January 2004 to March 2022, overseeing the complete HR functions for a manufacturing facility. Lori also has experience in academia as an Adjunct Professor at Aquinas College in 2009, teaching an intermediate level German course. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Regional Trainer for Flexible Personnel / Staff Mark, ensuring compliance and staffing across multiple branches. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in German Area Studies/Business German and a Bachelor’s degree in German from Purdue University, along with an exchange program experience at the University of Hamburg.
