Shelton Lu is a seasoned professional in the semiconductor and electronics industry, serving as Vice President at VIA Technologies, Inc. since October 1998, overseeing research and development in integrated circuit design, software development, and electronic design automation. Prior to this role, Shelton held the position of Vice President at ULSI Systems from July 1987 to October 1998, where responsibilities included the development of the floating point Math co-processor 80387 and Windows Graphics accelerator XGA, among other projects. Early career experience includes a Senior Engineer position at IDT from December 1984 to July 1987, focusing on FIFO SRAM and floating point arithmetic development. Shelton holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
