Héctor Guerra has been working in the language field since 2004. Héctor started as an English Professor at UDELAS Panama - Chiriquà in 2004, then moved on to become a Linguistics Professor at Universidad Latina de Panamá in 2006. In 2010, they began working as a Docente at Centro Especializado en Lenguas. In 2011, they joined VIA Inc. as a Linguist and Office Manager for the Panama office. Theirduties included outsourcing translation requests, MT-post editing documents, linguistically reviewing translations, post DTP reviewing files, team's monthly evaluation and annual performance reviews, office managerial tasks, and direct contact across VIA offices worldwide.
Héctor Guerra has a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Ohio University, which they obtained between 2007 and 2009. Theirfield of study was TESOL. Héctor also has a Bachelor of Science in English from Universidad Latina de Panama, which they obtained between 2000 and 2003. Theirfield of study was Language Interpretation and Translation. Héctor also has a Certified Translator from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English from the Ministerio de Educación de Panamá y Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Panamá. Héctor has also attended Boston University and Felix Olivares.
