Tomo ÄŒesnik has a diverse range of work experience in software development and engineering. Tomo started their career at Cosylab in 2011, where they were responsible for all phases of software development, including architecture, design, implementation, and testing. During their time at Cosylab, they worked on various projects, such as CANopen communication library, domain-specific language for configuration, low-latency video streaming solution, and backend development for web applications. Tomo also contributed to the development of Jenkins and Maven plugins, user-space C library, Yum plugins, Python libraries and GUIs, Linux device drivers, and EPICS device support drivers. In addition, Tomo was involved in continuous integration framework management, code quality assessments, coaching junior developers, and providing technical support. Tomo also handled project management tasks and participated in pre-sales support and tender applications.
After working at Cosylab for almost a decade, Tomo Česnik joined Tuš in 2021 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked until January 2022. Tomo then moved on to Wisdom Labs in February 2022, where they served as a Software Architect. At Wisdom Labs, they played a critical role as a founding engineer in a spin-off, providing architecture for innovative knowledge-centric software for enterprises. Tomo'sresponsibilities included R&D on graph data models, meta-data modeling, model-driven engineering, code generation, and query languages. Tomo also participated in POC backend development using Java/Kotlin with Quarkus and implemented custom Neo4j database functionality using Kotlin stored procedures and Cypher queries. Tomo was also actively involved in brainstorming sessions and preparation of pitch decks, presentations, and other materials for investors.
Most recently, Tomo joined Veza in 2023 as a Software Engineer. Tomo'srole entails the development of back-end services and stored procedures for Neo4j. Tomo focuses on performance optimizations of Cypher queries and Neo4j stored procedures.
From 2005 to 2011, Tomo ÄŒesnik attended the University of Ljubljana, specifically the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, where they completed a Master's Degree. Further information about their field of study was not provided.
