Jim Lester has been working in the technology industry since 2004. Jim began their career as a Campus Rep at Apple, then moved to a Network and Systems Admin role at SAFL/NCED in 2006. In the same year, they worked as an Intern Performance Marketing at Apple Computer. In 2008, they joined Dell Compellent as a Senior Engineer and Product Specialist. In 2014, they moved to Cleversafe, an IBM Company, as a Sr Offering Manager. In 2016, they became the Offering Manager & Principal Solution Architect at IBM Cloud Object Storage. In 2017, they joined Atavium as Technology and Solutions, and in 2020 they were a Principal Architect at Starfish Storage. Currently, they are a Founding Solutions Architect at Veza.

Jim Lester attended the University of Minnesota from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
