Joe DeGraff has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Joe most recently worked as a Support Lead at VETRO FiberMap®, starting in June 2020. Prior to that, they served as an AmeriCorps VISTA Partnerships Coordinator for Food Justice at AmeriCorps VISTA from April 2019 to June 2020. From January 2018 to April 2019, they worked as a Program Manager for Fund for Academic Renewal at the American Council of Trustees and Alumni.
Before entering the non-profit sector, Joe gained experience in sales and customer service roles. From January to December 2017, they worked as an Account Lead at FedBid, Inc. Joe also held an internship as a Marketplace Specialist at the same company from June to December 2016. In 2015, they worked as a Museum Educator at the Virginia Air & Space Center.
Earlier in their career, Joe worked as a Sales Associate at Leslie's Poolmart, Inc. in 2013. Joe also gained culinary experience as an Assistant Chef at Culinaria Cooking School from June 2011 to August 2012. Joe initially started their career as a Cashier at Cenan's Bakery from January to May 2011.
Joe DeGraff obtained their Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from Christopher Newport University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. In 2015, they also attended Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University for a brief period, focusing on Modern Russian History and Politics, as well as language. Recently, in 2019-2020, Joe pursued a Certificate of Graduate Study in Applied GIS from the University of Southern Maine, specializing in Geographic Information Science and Cartography.
