John Burns has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. John started their career at the City of Attleboro as a Head Lifeguard and Swim Instructor from June 2016 to August 2020. John then gained experience in the field of Information Technology as an Information Technology Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from January 2020 to June 2020. During this time, they assisted with IT in the Journalism Department and created Python scripts for automating tasks related to course scheduling.

In 2018, John also participated in the UMass Makerspace Leadership and Outreach Program, showcasing their leadership skills and passion for technological innovation.

Continuing in the IT field, John worked at Amica Insurance as an Entry Level IT Developer from November 2020 to September 2021, and later transitioned to the role of Associate IT Developer from September 2021 to July 2022.

In 2022, they embarked on a personal project, "Eat The Frog," showcasing their self-motivation and dedication to personal growth.

Most recently, in February 2023, John joined Vetcove as a Software Engineer, further expanding their skillset and contributing to the development of innovative software solutions.

John Burns attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
