Cadence Flohrschutz is a research professional with a strong background in molecular biology and microbiology. Currently serving as a Research Associate II at Vestaron Corporation since April 2023, Cadence’s previous role as a Sr. Research Associate at Nature's Fynd involved constructing genetic knock-out strains of filamentous fungi and engineering strains for bioactive nanobody expression. At the University of Arizona, experiences included working as a Graduate Research Assistant, where molecular biology techniques were applied to manipulate pathogenic fungi and optimize plasmid cloning, as well as maintaining yeast and bacterial cultures for natural product production. Cadence also contributed to projects in DNA extraction and storage during an undergraduate position at the University of Arizona. Cadence holds a Professional Masters in Applied Biosciences and dual Bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology, both from the University of Arizona.
