Jennifer Carroll has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jennifer is currently working as the Chief Executive Officer at Veruna, Inc., where they are spearheading the transformation of Independent Insurance Agents' businesses through state-of-the-art agency management systems. Prior to this, Jennifer founded Carroll Counsel PLLC, a legal firm that provided advice and assistance to co-founders, leaders, startups, and executives of emerging technology companies. Jennifer also served as an adviser at ZenBusiness Inc., an organization that helps entities maintain legal compliance.
Before that, Jennifer worked as Corporate Counsel at Drillinginfo, a leading Big Data, SaaS provider for the oil and gas industry. Jennifer also held the position of Executive Director of DLA Piper NEST Program at DLA Piper, where they redefined the relationship between entrepreneurs and their law firm. Jennifer also founded Carroll Robson PLLC, where they assisted start-ups, entrepreneurs, and growing companies with organization, funding, and intellectual property matters.
Jennifer's work experience also includes co-founding and serving as General Counsel of Innovelop, a company that developed a product named QloudSitter, designed to help day cares communicate with parents. Jennifer gained valuable experience in software development, lean canvas, and user experience design during their time at Innovelop. Jennifer began their legal career as an Attorney at The Shanahan Law Firm and later worked as a Law Clerk for the Honorable K.J. Montgomery at the Shaker Heights Municipal Court.
Throughout their career, Jennifer has been actively involved in the community, volunteering for Sutherland for Cuyahoga County Commissioner and supporting political campaigns. Their work experience showcases their expertise in legal counseling, entrepreneurship, technology, and business development.
Jennifer Carroll began their education at The University of Toledo, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from 1999 to 2003. Their fields of study were Biology and Chemistry. Following this, they attended Cleveland State University - Cleveland-Marshall College of Law from 2004 to 2007. During this time, they pursued a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree specializing in Intellectual Property Law.
