Samuel Mackrell MAAT has a diverse work experience in accounting. Samuel started their career at Mabe Allen LLP, where they worked as a Semi-Senior Accountant for four years. During their time there, they gained experience in accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships, and owner-managed limited companies, as well as various financial tasks such as bank reconciliations, cash control accounts, and VAT control accounts.

Afterward, Samuel worked at Lings Chartered Accountants as a Semi-Senior Accountant, where they further developed their skills in accounts preparation for different types of businesses, including public and personal security firms, farm and B&B partnerships, and working men's clubs. Samuel also assisted in year-end stock takes at client premises.

Following their experience in practice, Samuel joined Pendragon PLC as an Assistant Management Accountant. This role helped him transition into the industry, allowing him to work with live data and prepare monthly management accounts. Samuel was responsible for accruals and prepayments, ensuring all balance sheet reconciliations were up to date.

Currently, Samuel is working at Vertu Motors plc, initially starting as an Assistant Management Accountant and later progressing to the role of an Accountant. At Vertu Motors, they gained exposure to accounting for new vehicles, statements of vehicle reconciliations, and manufacturers' bonus schemes. Samuel also produced and submitted 15-day forecasts.

Throughout their career, Samuel has shown their ability to manage and support a team, having successfully developed and supervised a team of accounts staff across multiple dealerships at Vertu Motors.
