THE ROLE

At Fora, we are reimagining the future of online communities and are looking for a passionate, self-motivated Product Manager. Fora helps curious explorers discover cool products for their hobbies based on authentic community perspectives.

As a Product Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to offer a seamless and pleasant desktop experience to millions of users. You will work on both existing and new features to increase user retention and posting volume and enhance overall user experience. Each month, Fora connects over 70 million people around common interests. Your mission is to make their experience of connecting and sharing these interests. This is an exciting opportunity to join a mission-focused public company with a startup mentality.

You will report to Senior Product Manager and collaborate with two other Product Managers and a Product Data Analyst. In this role, you’ll oversee two key initiatives: user retention, and user growth. Our dedicated and enthusiastic product team is deeply passionate about online forums and community building. We’re excited to share our expertise in social networking and look forward to learning from your unique insights and experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop the core value proposition, MVP requirements, experiment roadmap, and acquisition and growth strategy for the desktop app
  • Understand and prioritize the core needs of our communities & their members
  • Define the core value proposition, requirements, and success metrics for experiments, prototypes, and MVPs
  • Organize and communicate your product’s roadmap to the rest of the organization
  • Present product strategy and learnings to executives and other leaders
  • Work effectively across functions (Design, Engineering, Product Marketing, Product Operations, Community Management, Sales) 
  • Other related responsibilities and ad hoc projects as negotiated and needed to meet the ongoing needs of the company

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum five years of work experience in a consumer product company, including at least three years of product management experience
  • Experience working directly with software engineers, designers, and marketers
  • Experience running agile ceremonies and sprint planning
  • Experience launching and growing products or meaningful features
  • Proficient with data analysis and traffic/visitor analytics
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills within a team and cross-departmentally
  • Experience with a/b testing and experimentation
  • High adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel between Canada and the US twice a year
