Bo-Rui Chen is a Senior Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, having joined in April 2022. Previous experience includes roles as Scientist III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where Bo-Rui Chen developed and optimized gene editing protocols for vaccine and antibody production, and as a Scientist at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc., focusing on CAR-T cell design and enhancement. At Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, Bo-Rui Chen served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, developing assays to study gene roles in leukemia, and earlier worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Academia Sinica, Taiwan, investigating protein interactions related to cancer. Bo-Rui Chen earned a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from National Tsing Hua University and a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from National Chung Hsing University.
